It has been said that diamonds are a girl’s best friend but once you find your soulmate, true love is forever. Rockstar Chris Clemence surprised fans, friends and most of all his now fiancé, Tessa Knox with a proposal that came straight from the heart. Besides making quite the statement on stage with music that his fans enjoy, he’s decided that it’s time to make things official with his sweetheart.
The performer got down on one knee at Crows nest, a popular hotspot in Montauk, overlooking the water with a stunning view of the sunset. Clemence tricked her into thinking they were there for a photo shoot in honor of their anniversary. Suddenly, a surprise band appeared playing Citizen Cope’s “Sideways,” their favorite song. At that moment, he bent the knee slipping a rare and breathtaking Type IIA 2 carat cushion cut diamond on Tessa’s finger. The two embraced as the special moment was captured by a photographer. Friends gathered around the couple and toasted champagne as they celebrated their love.
There’s something about a one of a kind diamond that makes the moment timeless. He surely had an eye for a diamond that makes the heart sing. “I worked very closely with Pure Grown Diamonds to make this one of a kind ring for Tessa,” he explained. “After doing my research I found I could get the best of both worlds, an amazing top grade diamond that was guaranteed to be ethically harvested and eco friendly.” Type IIA diamonds make up less than 2% of diamonds on earth and are considered the most valuable. Talk about making a statement!
We love an artist who likes to make a statement on stage but also in the world of fashion. Clemence is known for his hits from “California Brain” to “Can You Feel It” and he’s building even more momentum with his new single “Revolution,” featuring Dead Kennedys‘ DH Peligro. The song takes a stand against the Trump administration with proceeds from the single to benefit equal rights, education and healthcare through The Clemence Foundation. He’s also selling socially conscious tee-shirts for anyone who makes a donation. To learn more about Chris Clemence and his initiatives follow him on Instagram or visit his website.
