This is a collaboration you would not expect. Practically emerging overnight, an IKEA-themed collection broke the internet, including limited edition sneakers invented by Dominic Chambrone, also known as The Shoe Surgeon. Sneaker lovers have developed a weirdly odd fascination with the IKEA inspired custom kicks and the trend caught on. The Shoe Surgeon cleverly developed these innovative shoes for the out of the box customer.
Chambrone teamed up with menswear designer, Elliot Evan for the “IKEA Pack” which includes a custom pair of Air Jordan 1 Field Boots and a bomber jacket. The shoes are made up of IKEA’s classic FRAKTA bag material and suede which is exactly the same as the jackets included in the pack. That’s not all, two customers will be lucky enough to receive a Balenciaga x IKEA tote bag. Another good thing about it is that the pack comes with an instruction manual so you feel like you’re opening a box from the store and assembling the contents.
While supplies last, this will be a limited edition custom collection and they’re selling for $1500. So for all the shoe fans out there, get yours fast before they run out. After all, no one would want to miss out on such good looking shoes. Besides how cool these kicks look, what also amazes us is that they are practically giving away one free pack!
The perks and experience built around these custom kicks is pretty exciting for the sneaker lovers out there. Chambrone will leave a manual at the IKEA location in Carson, Los Angeles. Anyone who will find this manual will be awarded with the boots and jacket in his or her own size. Talk about a once in a lifetime opportunity to get some “not-so-ordinary” free goodies!
The set is available online. Act quickly as these are bound to sell out fairly quickly. So get up and grab the most innovative shoes we’ve laid our eyes on, before they run out!
